1. The revised BS Business Economics (BE) curriculum, effective starting the First Semester of Academic Year 2018-2019, accepts HRIM 108 as a business elective:
“Students are required to choose 3 Business Electives (BE) from the following:
BA 170, BA 151, BA 142, BA 105, BA 190, IE 3, IE 197(a), IE 197(b), IE 197(c), IE 150, IE 141, IE 142, Math 150.1, Math 180.1, Math 180.2, Stat 115, HRIM 108.”
2. In the revised curriculum of the BS Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management program, as approved by the UP Diliman University Council and the UP President in 2021, the course number, course description, and prerequisite of HRIM 108 was changed as follows:

• BA 101 (Introduction to Business Management)
• IE 31 (Industrial Organization and Management)
3. HRIM 164 is a recognized equivalent of HRIM 108; thus, it can be credited as one of the three (3) required business electives in the BS BE curriculum, provided that the prerequisite was satisfied.
4. Students who previously took or are currently enrolled in HRIM 164 are advised to submit a substitution form to SE 101 via this link: https://bit.ly/UPSEsubstitution. Please notify SE 101 of your request for substitution through this email: [email protected].
5. Students who will take HRIM 164 in the future have to submit a substitution form via the same link in #4, until the necessary revision in the BS BE curriculum checklist has been made.
6. All future requests for substitution of any subject shall be submitted via the link in #4.
