The Congolese Academy of Science (ACCOS) is an independent organization intended to promote science and engineering and
strengthen their influence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Some of the main objectives of ACCOS
• To promote dialogue and information exchange between
policymakers and scientists to ensure the involvement of ACCOS in national policy
• To Strengthen Science, Technology and Innovation capacity in DRC to respond to challenges and opportunities towards achieving the
development of our country;
• To Facilitate access to appropriate technologies through technology transfer and provide access to research and technical knowledge
• To provide a national forum for publication of research and exchange of ideas among scientists, technologists, industries, traditional
practitioners and opinion leaders.
