ABSTRACT

This study was a research and development. The objectives of this research \>\!ere to: 1) study the basic information of the components of Thai language instructional model to enhance knowledge and speaking skill for communication of student teachers, 2) develop of Thai language instructional model to enhance kn()\ll,A,edge and speaking skill for communication of student teachers, and 3) study the results of implementation ofThai language instructional model to enhance knowledge and speaking skill for communication of student teachers. This research consisted of 3 stages. Stage 1; study the basic information for the development of an instructional model, Stage 2; developed an instructional model.

Stage 3; to study the results of implementation of an instructional model. The study is using Quasi - Experimental Designs. The sample used in the study were 1st year bachelor's degree undergraduate students in semester 1 of the academic year 2022 was 46 students who ...-ere the 1st, It was selected by multi-stage random sampling methOO. The instruments used in this research ...ere 1) learning management plans, 2) a knowledge assessment test of speaking for communication of student teachers with .85 of reliability, and 3) a speaking skill test for communication of student teachers was .97 of reliability.

The statistics used to analyze data inclu:led: the mean, standard derivation, confirmatory factor analysis, t·test for dependent samples statistic and O1e way analysis of variance with repeated measure.

The research results were found that 1) the basic information of instructional mcdel consisted of (l) components of instructional model (2) speaking skill for communication of student teachers consisted of 5 components including rules of language usage skills, communication analysis skills, the language using for communication skills in learning mana~ement, the communication strategic using skills in learning management and verbal interaction skills. The investigation of consistency of speaking skill components for communication of student teachers by confirmatory factor analysis found the consistent with the empirical data of Chi-Square = 186.45, df = 158, P = .06, RMSEA = .01. 2)Thai language instructional model to enhance knowledge and speaking skill for communication of student teachers competencies included 6 elements: (I) principles (2) objectives (3) contents (4) instructional procedure consisted of 6 steps: 1;

learning 2; model presentation 3; practice languase skills 4; language interaction 5; Introduction and reinforcement 6; review and evaluation (5) measurement and evaluation (6) factors supporting teaching and teaming man~ement were social system, principte of reaction, and support system. Md 3) the results of implementation of Thai language instructional model to enhance knowledge and speaking skill for communication of student teachers found that (1) speaking kno'Nledge for communication of student teachers after leaming through Thai language instructional model. was statistically Significant hisher than before at .05 level (t = 20.30*, P = .00), (2) the development of speakins skiU for communication of student teachers had better in every phase from repeated measurements 4 times at the significant level of .05.

Innovation from this research was the instructional model that focuses on the process of developing and Pfacticing speaking skitt ci student teachers, which emphasizes on prcMding experiences for learners to use langua~e to interact together in a variety of situations. This is an important activity that is present in the teaching phase of the model to enable students to develop speaking skill for communication and this model for laying the foundation for student teachers to have skill and potential to be ready to communicate with their students effectively....men they do an internship at schools. To provide student teachers with quality according to professional standards of educational and ready to step forvvard into the teaching profeSSion.
