2011ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study, the Implementation of Policy Enhancing Good Governance at the Metropolitan Police Bureau (Crime Control and Suppression) is consisted of two astects.
First, it researched factors that would have influenced on the implementation of policy enhancing good governance at The Metropolitan Police Bureau (Crime Control and Suppression). Second, it studied the correlation between the factors involved and the implementation of the policy at the Crime Control and Suppression. The approach to the study were both qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative study involved in-depth interview the high ranking metropolitan police officers, whereas the quantitative method, supplementing the interview, was an opinion survey of a sample group of personnel at the police stations and the headquarters.
The results of the study revealed the sample group opinion were moderate levels of influence, in other words they were uncertain of factors namely government policies, legislation, promotion, control, evaluation and punishment, work environment and servicing the public would influence implementation of good governance policy. The sample group also was asked to give

their opinion of the good governance principles i.e. the ethics, transparency, participation, responsibility, and worthiness. The survey results revealed moderate levels meaning they were not sure the principles would work. Turning to testing the hypotheses, the correlation between the influencing factors and the implementation of good governance policy, the results yielded moderate levels and statistically significant at 0.01 level.
Recommendations, Policy, Thai Police Department should construct indices of good governance for its own use, and provide training to police veterans on new high technology device. On the administration, police personnel should receive orientation on ethical standards to supplement their law enforcement and revision of traffic law by allowing private participation in traffic management , and the academic :
1 Should study the problem from the public on duties of the police. To study the effect of bringing the principles of good governance are required to perform all aspects of every line and note the results more clearly.
2 Should do research on good Governance of Police compare with good governance of other government agencies.
3 Should be conducted to seek guidance in the form of a good governance to the Thai Police in the implementation.
