2- The Deanship of "E-Learning and Distance Education" develops the skills of the coordinators of its units in the faculties:
At the beginning of the first semester of this year, the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education organized a virtual meeting with the coordinators of e-learning units at the university's faculties, which included training on the best practices for the application of blended learning.
The meeting began with the presentation of the coordinator of the Educational Affairs Unit at the Deanship of the purpose of applying the style of integrated courses, and discussing the units’ plan and its mechanism of action for the first semester of the academic year 1442 AH.
This was followed by a presentation by the system manager at the Deanship, with a full explanation of the new interface of the system, and the reporting system the e-learning management system as well as standards for teaching electronic and blended courses.
The workshop also highlighted the tasks and responsibilities of the faculty member
participating in the blended learning system, which are summarized in preparing the scientific material for the course, providing the Deanship with the requirements for implementing the course, using classroom lectures to highlight the electronic educational elements, carrying out evaluation and follow-up operations for assignments and electronic tests through the system, communicating with the Deanship In the event of any technical problems, as well as communicate with the
Deanship when needed to obtain any additional training for the student or faculty member.
3- Holding introductory meetings and training courses on the Blackboard:
During this academic year, introductory meetings and training courses were held on line for male and female students through Blackboard.
The introductory meetings focused on introducing the Blackboard system and its interface, and clarifying its importance and educational benefits. The training courses focused on the technical requirements and skills of dealing with the system tools, which include (electronic course description, electronic course design, advertisements, educational activities, assignments, discussion boards, virtual classes.

4- Providing a set of courses to train students and professors on the mechanisms of activating the Blackboard in electronic and integrated courses in the colleges of Qurayyat and Tabarjal:
During the first semester, the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education, and through its coordinators in the university faculties in Al-Qurayyat and Tabarjal, conducted a number of training courses for students and faculty staff, with the aim of training on skills to deal with this system.
During that, the work teams dealt with explaining to the students the difference between electronic and blended courses, the advantages of the blended learning system, the method of accessing the system, methods of communicating with the course professor, dealing with assignments, discussion boards and virtual classes.
On the other hand, with regard to the professors who are entrusted with teaching blended courses, the e-learning coordinators team dealt with an explanation of the importance of blended learning, a detailed explanation of the blended learning model at Jouf University, the tasks and responsibilities of the blended learning faculty members, a presentation of the e-learning elements models, as well as the tasks and support services and technical information provided by the Deanship regarding the application of this system.
5- E-learning and distance education follow up on the electronic academic advising:
Within the framework of the keenness of the Deanship of E-Learning and Distance Education to make good use of e-learning technologies in providing distinguished educational services to university students, the Deanship, in coordination with the Deanship of Admission and Registration, completed the process of linking all university students with their academic advisors on the Blackboard system this year.
The electronic academic advising provides the possibility of continuous communication between the academic advisor and his students without being restricted by place and time by including the system for electronic communication tools such as advertisements, discussions, individual and group meetings provided by virtual classes, in addition to following up on everything related to students continuously through the electronic information available about them in a database The system, which facilitates and accelerates decision-making, in addition to the provision of electronic academic advising to create an active positive interactive environment between the

student and the advisor or between the student and his colleagues with the aim of enriching the guiding process with opinions and experiences, employing cumulative experiences, exchanging and discussing them, and coming up with a highly efficient guiding process that contributes to overcoming academic problems, the psychological, behavioral and social aspects of the students will reflect positively on their academic achievement, and contribute to achieving the general vision of the university in producing high quality educational outcomes.
6- Standardized e-courses:
The Deanship undertakes the technical preparation of the electronic course in the form of copy able course packages, after the relevant departments of the faculties, in turn, reviewed the integrity and validity of the academic content, the validity of the duties and activities accompanying the course, as well as the distribution of grades within the course.
In addition to following up on everything related to the electronic course in terms of activating the minimum requirements with the preparation of a periodic report that includes the extent to which the course professors activate their electronic courses and the extent of their interaction with students and their evaluation of assignments, discussion boards and other activities.
