This course contains a new approach in sewing techniques by means of devices and tools that help in the process of preparation and operation in an industrial way as well as explaining the stages of production followed in the ready-made garments factory, namely: (design and preparation for production - production - processing) taking into account the speed, mastery and quality system in the production of clothes According to the energy specified in the production plan to work in the workshop or clothing factory.

The general objective of the course:

This course aims to provide the trainee with the ability to produce industrially ready-made clothes and to apply quality systems and standards in production.

The detailed objectives of the course:

By the end of this course, the trainee will be able to:

1. Know the basic concepts in garment manufacturing.

2. Multiple stages of manufacturing ready-made clothes.

3. Preparing the operational plan for the production stages.

4. Design the sample required for the model.

5. Patron paints the sample.

Stages of garment production:

o First: the stage of design and preparation for production, which includes:

o 1 - The sample design and implementation stage:

o Drawing the required design or choosing it from among the commercial patterns.

o Determine the used materials and supplements.

o Determine the size to be performed.

o Draw a full pattern. Download the model.

o Determine the required materials.

o Fabric processing.

o Install pattern and take marks.

o Cut out the parts of the model.

Page 88 of 109 o Sew the sample parts.

2 - Preparation for production:

o Pattern preparation process (converting the sample pattern into a synthetic pattern):

o Mid-pattern preparation.

o Preparation of the complete pattern.

o Adding increments to shear and write data.

o Put the pattern parts on the cardboard.

o Aluminum pattern coating.

o Assemble the pattern pieces into a bundle.

o (Patterns can also be prepared by computer drawing or patterning on the mannequin.)

o Determine the width of the fabric and the method of straightening the fabric.

o Engaging the pattern parts on the metrag layer to determine the required number of meters, taking into account (the direction of the fabric - the direction of the graphics, the lint and the gloss).

2- Fabric inspection process:

o Preparing the fabric in the required quantities.

o Checking the fabric used in production by means of a fabric inspection device or manual inspection.

o Excluding damaged fabrics to obtain a high quality product.

3 - Model accessories preparation process:

o Determine the model's needs in terms of

accessories such as: (accessories - used threads - buttons - fasteners ... etc).

Second: The production stage (provided that they are clothing items) and includes:

1- The process of straightening the cloth:

o Spread several layers of cloth below the metra layer, either the individual is manual or automatic, taking into account:

o The length and width of the fabric layers are the same for the metrag layer.

Practical performance

o Taking into account the tension adjustment so that it does not affect the nature of the fabric and the dimension of the cut.

2- The cloth cutting process:

o Separating the parts of the cloth based on the metrag layer, taking into account:

o Separate the large portions first, then the small portions.

3- Part numbering process:

o Each layer of the stretched fabric has the same number as the first layer, so they are all the same number.

4- The assembly process:

o The pattern parts are assembled together in bundles through the assembly line, and the assembly label is placed on the packages so that it contains:

(Model number - size - implementation steps - quantity).

5- Operation (sewing):

o Assembling the parts that were cut together by sewing by machine and the operation stage is divided into four sections:

o Preparations section (in which the piece is

prepared for assembly, such as sticking the stuffing ...).

o Assembly department

o The front parts assembly section o Front and back assembly section

o During the training semester, two production lines are defined by following the previous stages of producing the pieces of clothing

o 1- Individual production o 2- Collective production

o A file is prepared showing a plan for producing a piece of clothing

o Third: the processing stage, which includes:

o 1- Finishing and inspection process

o Finishing is made to ensure that there are no defects or spots that occurred during the operating

o Inspection in which a final check is performed on the product before it is packaged and boiled o 2- Ironing process:

o It is done before the knitting process in the case of adding fillings to some parts of the pieces or after finishing knitting and finishing in order to give the piece its final shape

o 3- Packaging process:

o At this stage, the labels for the product (type of part - size - number - name of the manufacturer) are placed, then the product is placed in the agreed packages.

o And then put the products into storage cartons.
