Title of the thesis submitted for Ph.D. degree: Hearing Loss and Diabetes Mellitus Summary of the Study: It was an observational case-control study, which examines the relationship between hearing loss and type 2 diabetes mellitus. It was found that the prevalence of hearing loss among diabetics is higher than that in non-diabetic population. The nature of hearing loss was found to be neural and of cochlear origin.
