PhD thesis: Investigating the Role of Knowledge Management in Driving the Development of an Effective Business Process Architecture. Sematic representation of the knowledge management enablers (KMEs) and Riva BPA method have been utilised to address this objective. A knowledge-based BPA is extracted from the current capabilities and knowledge resources of the enterprise. A developed six KMEs ontology has been demonstrated using the case study of the Islamic International Arab Bank (IIAB) in Jordan. The KMEs ontology is instantiated using the bank Treasury, Deposits and Financing case studies in order to identify the essential business entities (EBEs) of the Ould Riva BPA method. Accordingly, these knowledge-based entities develop
