Registration
In exceptional circumstances, the Dean may allow a student's credit load to drop below 12 credit hours. Non-national students who fall below 12 credit hours are subject to payment of full tuition for that semester.
Attendance
The student must complete a leave request form and specify the reason for the leave. A student who does not return from a Temporary Leave of Absence by the date specified in the leave request will be dismissed from the University.
Permanent Withdrawal from the University
The leave must be approved by the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Services. A student has the right to appeal a decision regarding an application for temporary leave in accordance with the Student Objection Policy and Procedures.
Online Students Requests
A student in good academic standing usually has a maximum of two semesters of leave during their studies. To continue studying after a temporary absence, the student must contact the registrar's office and request reactivation of the student status.
