A Proposed Vision for Developing Creative Leadership Skills Among Saudi University Students

Abstract: The study aimed to present a proposed vision for the development of creative leadership skills among students of Saudi universities. The study used the descriptive method in both documentary and surveying approaches. The study used a questionnaire that was applied to the male students at the bachelor's level at the universities (Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, King Khalid, and Hail). The study reached a number of results: creative leadership skills for Saudi university students have been identified, the availability of creative leadership skills to a medium degree among Saudi university students, the skill of effective communication was large in the population study, the characteristics associated with the skills of (decision-making, problem solving, changeability, creativity in dialogue, encouragement of creativity, and support) have been obtained on intermediate grades among the students, and the characteristics associated with the skill of risk taking an average of (1.50) indicating that it is not available to the study members. The study also highlighted that all the practices that Saudi universities must undertake to support and develop the creative leadership skills of their students have received high priority from the point of view of the study members. The study then presented a suggested a proposed vision for the development of creative leadership skills for Saudi university students.

The Prevailing Thinking Styles and their Relation to the Self-Efficacy of the Deaf in the Secondary Stage

Abstract: The aim of this study is to identify common thinking styles among deaf students, and to predict self-efficacy through thinking styles. The study sample consisted of (40) students of deaf students in the secondary stage. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher constructed two tools: the measure of thinking styles and the self- efficacy measure in this group. The results of the regression analysis showed that there are common or more prevalent thinking styles among deaf students in the secondary stage.

There is also a significant correlation between the thinking styles and self-efficacy of deaf students in the secondary stage, and that it is possible to predict the self-efficacy of deaf students in high school through their thinking styles.

The Online Courses Design and its Relation to Achieving Students' Satisfaction at the Undergraduate Level: A Field Study

Abstract: The study aimed to investigate the students' perspectives regarding the quality of online courses design and its relation to their satisfaction. The participants of the study included (1365) students from those who enrolled in online courses at Jouf University.

The study concluded that online students showed a slight positive perception toward the quality of the online courses design (M=2.84, SD=1.06). They also showed a medium level of satisfaction (M= 3.16, SD=1.23). The results also showed a strong positive relationship between students perceptive regarding online courses design and their satisfaction (r= 0.84, p= 0.00). Finally, the study provides number of recommendations for the practice and future research.

The Degree of Practicing the Standards of the National Commission for Academic Assessment and Accreditation in Scientific Research at the University of Hail

Abstract: The study aimed at identifying the degree of practicing the standards of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment in the scientific research in Hail university from the teaching staff point of view in the fields of (corporate policy, teaching staff and students participation, commercial investment for the scientific research, and research facilities and equipment) with determining if there is statistically significant differences between the persons in the sample in respect to the question of the study attributed to its variables. The study used the descriptive approach, and was applied on a sample from the teaching staff in Hail university. The data was collected through a questionnaire derived from performance criteria and indicators in the Quality Assurance Manual issued from the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment. The most important results are as follow: the fields of corporate policy, teaching staff and students participation, and research facilities and equipment gained average practicing degree, while the field of commercial investment for the scientific research gained low practicing degree. Moreover, there are no statistically significant differences between the persons in the sample of the study responses attributed to its variables. The most important recommendations are: the necessity to be guided by the criteria of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment in the scientific research through developing policies and research policies, developing research criteria in line with the global criteria in addition to encouraging the research partnership.

Uses of the Web (2.0) Tools by the Faculty Members of Bisha University and their Attitudes Towards them

Abstract: The study aimed at determining the use of the Web 2.0 tools by the University of Bisha faculty members in teaching and in their daily life in general in addition to their attitudes towards them from their point of view. To achieve the study objectives and to answer its questions, a questionnaire was designed to identify and measure Web 2.0 tools uses in life in general and in teaching constituted of (18) items in addition to an attitude test towards them. The questionnaire and the attitude test were distributed to a sample of (100) faculty members from the University of Bisha. The study found that the degree of uses of Web 2.0 tools by the faculty members in daily life was moderate with an average of (1.75), and the degree of use of Web 2.0 tools in teaching was low with an average of (1.66) while attitudes towards the use of Web 2.0 tools in university level teaching were positive. In addition, the study also found that there was a direct internal relationship between use of Web 2.0 tools by faculty members in daily life and in university teaching as well as their attitude towards the use of Web 2.0 tools. Based on the findings, the study was concluded with a number of recommendations and proposals.
