The Alumni Unit and Career Development in the College of Medicine at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University has organized the “Saudi Board: from Scratch to Match” program in the academic year 2020-2021. The program was held online via Zoom on Saturday, May 22, 2021, presented by Dr. Rawan Alyami and Dr. Jaffar Alsayigh, and was attended by a total of 106 students. The program aimed to introduce the students to the Saudi Medical Licensure Examination (SMLE), Curriculum Vitae (CV) and interviews. Dr. Rawan Alyami shared her experience and provided the students with tips to achieve a high score in the exam. Moreover, the speaker mentioned common mistakes to avoid while preparing to the exam. While Dr. Jaffar Alsayigh demonstrated the CV points distribution (Portfolio) in the Residency matching system. In addition, he illustrated how to write the CV and provided advice in regard to interviews’ preparation. Finally, the speakers answered students’ questions and inquiries.
