SUMMARY
Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) causes epidemic outbreaks of CHIK fever in Africa. India, South-East Asia, and recently Southern Europe. CHIKV fever is characterized by high fever, rash and pc^yarthralgia.
To develop a CHIKV-specific serological diagnostic test. El recombinant protein expressed vector was designed and expressed on the E.coli system. SDS- PAGE and Western blot were applied and analyzed to show that the recombinant protein was expressed and the molecular weights of structural El proteins was 44 Kd.
