Carbocysteine was successfully synthesized from L-cysteine hydrochlonde monohydrate in high yield (93 37%). Its structure was confirmed by physical parameters. IR. MS. ^H-NMR, " C - NMR The quality of the synthesized carbocysteine was controlled showing to meet the requirements of BP 2007
