The Society welcomes applications for Membership from individuals and Associations who arc interested in the study of African music and other arts.
Ordinary Membership entails an annual suhscription of R4.00.
The Society's Journal is sent to Members annually near the end of the year, together with the invoice for the current year's membership. Members may rcne\1· their subscription, ho\\·ever, at the beginning of the calendar year if they prefer.

lt is the logo of the new "Kaleidophone Records" label, issued by the Traditional Music Documentation Project, 3740 Kanawha Street, N.W., Washington D.C. 20015, U.S.r\., a recently formed, non-prof-it research organisation devoted to the documentation of the world's traditional musics. The Director is Curt \'fittig. Their first ten records have just appeared, all repressings of records first issued in the Music of Africa Series of the International Library of African Music, recorded hy 1-lugh Tracey.
