ITe have been requested by r. A.E.Larsen,

··anagcr for the Union \/haling C-0mpany Limited of Drrban, Natal, to write to you to enquire uhether the Imperial Government would be prepared to grant to hhn, his agents or licensed assigns:-

!. A concession for sealinc, on the Crosseth Islands and Prince Edward Island, for a period of. (5) years or more, the said concession to include the right to land on the Islands and bring the catches

away. Our client would be prepared to ^pay a per9entage of tho amount realised from

sealing

such _,.operations in return for s¹1ch concession; and

2. A site for the erection of a Whaling Station at alfish Bay, Vlest Const of Africa; the site to be about ten acreo in extent, and, if possible, near fresh Tiater.

Vie shall be glaa if you will be good enough

to let us know if the Gove:rnmont would ho prepared

to accede to our Client's request, and, if so, upon what terms and conditions.
