Step 1
:IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM
This sounds simple for some people but it actually isn’t.
Everyone involved should stop and use the star method.
The star method is when you stop, think about the situation, act on the situation and review the method you used.
This should be thoroughly clear to all the people in your group so that everyone knows what’s going on.

Step 2: EXPLORE INFORMATION AND CREATE IDEAS
Now that you have found the problem you have to analyse it and get to the root of the problem.
You need to find information by searching the internet or other sources of information.
Now create ideas from the information that you acquired from your sources.

Step 3: SELECT THE BEST IDEA
The entire group should come up with multiple ideas that they think could solve the situation.
No suggestion from any person is not good enough.
Everyone’s idea should be given time to be considered and not just be said no too.
There should be a large amount of ideas to choose from that you can get the best possible one.

Step 4: BUILD AND TEST THE IDEA
Now that you have a good amount of ideas its time to choose the best possible idea that will help the situation the most considering all the circumstances.
There are a number of things that can affect the situation like money, time, procedures, policies, etc.
The group should have a clear plan of action to check on the idea, get information on how its working, and make adjustments if necessary.

Step 6: EVALUATE THE SOLUTION
This is the final step which is the study step of PDSA.
You ask yourself questions like whether the solution worked or not? Why it didn’t work? What has to be done to fix it?
After this the group is ready to act upon their findings and the problem should be solved.
