blacks and whites. The Jim Crow Law was enacted with the intention that blacks could also use facilities used by whites, but the facilities created should not be shared. In other words, blacks are given the same facilities, but whites are not allowed to use them. The Jim Crow method is quite one-sided, as the facilities provided to blacks can be referred to as inappropriate or inhumane because the facilities are so poor compared to blacks with facilities used by whites. It is a typical one.64

From several previous related studies mentioned in the second chapter of the thesis by Nurjanah 2014, by analyzing the history of race crime in California in the film the freedom writes.65 Research that has similarities and differences with this research, in the formulation of the problem previously discussed about the condition of society in California, while this research is about personal racism, institutional racism, and the impact of racism. The similarities are that they both use the theory of racism as mentioned in the previous chapter.

From the analysis of some of the data that the researchers presented above, it can be concluded that the United States still makes different places and facilities for black people and white people. Black people are always given inadequate facilities, exiled so that criminal acts occur against black people by white people.

behavior.66 In this film, the researcher finds several impacts that occur on the character of Don Shirley, which is mentioned by the racist impact he faces. Researchers found that there were several racist impacts experienced by Don Shirley as follows:

1. Mental Condition

Mental conditions are those related to mental health in a person who experiences acts of racism or other criminal acts and is influenced by events in life that leave a major impact on a person's personality and behavior so that the impact of stress on his mental and triggers the desire to hurt yourself. Here are pictures and mental state dialogue of racist acts.

(Picture 19)67

From the picture above, it can be seen that Don Shirley was in a hotel where he was staying with his driver Tony Lip that night, Don Shirley was seen sitting alone on the balcony of the hotel. He daydreams as if something was going on between him and someone else and in Tony Lip's letter to his wife, "I saw Dr. Shirley played the piano tonight, she didn't play like a color she played like Librace, but better. “He's a genius, when I saw him through the car window… I knew he was always thinking something on his mind. From here it looks like Don Shirley is thinking about something between himself and others against him. Even intelligence is unpleasant for him, this is one of the racist effects that

happened to him. He also always gets harsh words, ostracism, and distinction for himself from white people so that it has an impact on Don Shirley's mental disorder, however, he always tries to hide it all so he doesn't look down or sad because of the racist impact that has happened to him.

Tony Lip : No

Security : You should call. We caught your friend.

Tony Lip : For what?

Security : Manager caught her with a guy.69

The picture and dialogue above shows that Don Shirley has a mental condition in his soul. Where he could no longer control himself so he was caught by the manager of a restaurant being alone with men without wearing clothes in a toilet. Here we see a mental disorder in Don Shirley's soul, this also occurs because of the racist act on him from this scene it is seen that Don Shirley has a mental disorder in his soul. This mental condition when interacting with other people always feels uneasy about him and can't be controlled so he does things that are not natural without him realizing it.

Tony Lip : Hei doc.

Don Shirley : Where are you going?

Tony Lip : Down. Want to drink

Don Shirley :With your friend Dominic?. Before accepting the offer…, we have to talk.

Tony…, I think you're doing really well, so…, I'd like to offer you a position as my travel manager. This means that the responsibility is greater, but the pay also increases.

Tony Lip :No, no thanks. We agreed $125 per week, plus the expenses that's our deal, right? I'm not going anywhere, Doc, I'm going down and tell them.71

Picture and dialogue above shows that Don Shirley is afraid that his driver Tony Lip will accept a job offer from his white friend. Before Don Shirley and Tony Lip entered the hotel Tony Lip met up with his friends Dominic and Mag they asked "who is that nigger?" and offered Tony Lip a job in Spanish which they thought black Don Shirley didn't understand Spanish. With the meeting of Tony Lip and his friends here Don Shirley feels humiliated by being humiliated by white people with different skin colors and Don Shirley is afraid that his driver will accept the job offer so he wants to appoint Tony Lip as his travel manager and increase his pay here shows that Don Shirley has no trust on myself again to go out without the protection of a white driver, this is one of the mental disorders that happened to Don Shirley due to the impact of racism.

Mental conditions of racism acts often occur in everyday life as experienced by Don Shirley this condition can also occur in various ways.

For example, anxiety symptoms can arise as a direct result of a racist incident such as hate speech being experienced on Don Shirley's psyche. It can also occur as an indirect result of the broader inequalities that perpetuate racism. In the short term, the effect of racism on a person's mental health usually occurs as a result of stress. Because racism is an ongoing source of stress, it affects people of color throughout their lives.

Meanwhile, for long-term effects, a person can experience chronic stress and even trauma. Worse, racial trauma is more complex, because the threat of discrimination continues and never really ends.

2. Physical Condition

Physical conditions related to the appearance and body of a person. The most dangerous conditions can lead to health problems. The physical condition of racist acts occurs so that it makes a person uncomfortable in the community and physically is a part of the human body since birth which has different characteristics in every human being.

Why are you in a suit?

Tony Lip : Let him go

Bar Visitors : What's this, guys?

Tony Lip : Leave him.73

The picture and dialogue above shows the physical condition scene that happened to Don Shirley. The physical condition occurred because some

white people did violent actions to a black person. Where black people get hit in the face, and stomach which resulted in his face was injured and damaged. From this incident, the physical condition of a black person was disturbed, causing a person to feel uncomfortable being in the community.

From the discussion above, it can be understood that black people represent identity as people who are looked down upon. Racism can lead to criminal acts but, in this film a black man is used to receiving violence and harsh words for himself, causing his physical condition to be disturbed.

From the analysis of some of the data that the researchers presented above, it can be concluded that the racism seen in the Green Book film is a film that has an impact on the emergence of crime in personal racists, which shows that there is a difference between white people and black people, while institutional racism is seeing that black people only see black people. Can work in a certain place because the white man reigns in all the places he wants. The racism impact that is seen in the Green Book film, the impact of mental conditions occurs because his soul is disturbed due to personal or institutional racist acts and the last is the impact of physical conditions which shows that black people get violence from white people so that black people suffer injuries in their parts. his body parts.

From the analysis of the data that the researcher presents above, it can be seen that this research is different from other studies, namely from the formulation of the problem and how to analyze the data. This study focuses on the types of racist acts and racist impacts that occur on the main characters in the Green Book film, such as personal racism, and institutional racism, causing racist impacts, namely the impact of physical conditions and mental conditions. Judging from one of the previous studies by Ika Diansari 2014.74 which analyzes racial discrimination in the film

freedom writers which is different from this research, from the formulation of the problem and how to analyze it.
