Penelitian ini masih membutuhkan banyak penyesuaian untuk hasil yang lebih nyata. Oleh karena itu, pada studi selanjutnya atas isu yang serupa, penulis menyarankan untuk mencari secara lebih mendalam bukti bahwa program pertukaran

pelajar sebagai aspek implementasi diplomasi publik dalam dimensi development of lasting relationship memang terbukti. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah mencari data primer terkait dengan survey persepsi para peserta program pertukaran pelajar serta publik terkait aspek tersebut. Penulis berpendapat bahwa dengan data primer, misalnya berupa wawancara secara langsung, hasil penelitian yang ditemui dalam penelitian lebih lanjut tentang topik penelitian ini dapat menjadi lebih valid dan nyata.
