C. Saran

1. Berdasarkan proses penelitian dan hasil penelitian, maka saran dari peneliti untuk subjek penelitian adalah dengan tetap mempertahankan harga diri yang tinggi pada subjek. Usaha yang bisa dilakukan adalah dengan tetap menghargai diri sendiri dan menyukai diri sendiri. Menyukai diri berarti menerima diri apa adanya, baik sisi yang positif maupun sisi negatifnya. Kemudian, semakin mengembangkan potensi yang dimiliki seperti banyak membaca buku pengetahuan dan mencoba hal baru. Selain itu, tetap berusaha memotivasi diri sendiri bila dalam keadaan sulit maupun gagal.

2. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa harga diri berkorelasi secara negatif dengan perilaku membeli kompulsif (compulsive buying). Sumbangan harga diri terhadap compulsive buying sebesar 6.66%. Peneliti selanjutnya yang ingin meneliti perilaku membeli kompulsif (compulsive buying) diharapkan memperhatikan variabel-variabel lainnya yang mungkin berpengaruh bagi tingkat perilaku membeli kompulsif pada remaja puteri, misalnya pengaruh sosiologis seperti: siaran televisi, tekanan teman sebaya, dan penggunaan serta akses kartu kredit.
