SIMPULAN DAN SARAN

Simpulan

1. Tanaman jarak pagar lebih efektif bersimbiosis dengan Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskular campuran Glomus sp-1p dan Acaulospora sp-1p, dibandingkan dengan tunggal (Glomus sp-1p atau Acaulospora sp-1p).

2. Tanaman jarak pagar provenan IP-1A, NTB, dan Palu adalah provenan yang toleran pada kondisi kekeringan, sedangkan provenan IP-1P adalah provenan yang peka pada kondisi kekeringan.

3. Tanaman jarak pagar menggunakan 2 macam kemampuan adaptasi terhadap cekaman kekeringan yaitu (1). menghindari cekaman kekeringan dengan cara memperpanjang akar, dan mengurangi absorbsi sinar matahari (menggulung daun dan memperkecil luas daun, dan merontokkan daun tanaman), dan (2) toleran cekaman kekeringan dengan cara meningkatkan akumulasi senyawa prolin.

4. Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskular dapat membantu tanaman jarak pagar untuk memperbaiki dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil, melalui perbaikan sistem penyerapan air.

Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskular indigenous disarankan dalam budidaya jarak pagar di daerah beriklim kering.
