Kinerja Per Unit Usaha Performance of Individual Business Units

UNIT USAHA EDUCATIONAL PRODUCTS (EP) / BUSINESS UNIT EDUCATIONAL PRODUCTS (EP)

Unit Usaha Educational Products (EP) bergerak di bidang penjualan dan distribusi produk-produk edukasi yang dipasarkan langsung (direct selling) kepada konsumen pengguna produk dengan menggunakan metode Direct Selling melalui tenaga penjual yang disebut Educational Product Consultant (EPC).

Unit Usaha EP membukukan Pendapatan Penjualan sebesar Rp 157,07 Milyar di tahun 2015, suatu kenaikan yang cukup tinggi yaitu sebesar 33.48% bila dibandingkan dengan Rp 117,67 Milyar di tahun 2014. Kenaikan ini terutama dihasilkan oleh tingginya peningkatan penjualan produk-produk Al- Qolam, yaitu sebesar 49.87%;

Penjualan produk-produk ETL juga mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari Rp 38,62 Milyar di tahun 2014 menjadi Rp 40,75 Milyar,

In the period of 2015 MS Business Unit has successfully obtained “Food Safety Management System” ISO 22000:2005, in which an upgrade to and in replacement of the older version of food safety system (HACCP). The certiicate acquired proves that the Company has strong commitment, integrity and consistency in compliance with the quality management and food safety system as dictated by the prevailing regulation and requested by the customers.

Other program which successfully started in 2015 was modiication of Line E production machine so that the machine can produce all sachet packing sizes.

Performances of Business Unit Manufacturing Services were relected in the following table:

Business Unit Educational Products (EP) is engaged in the business of sales & distribution of educational products which are directly sold to end-user customers using Direct Selling method through sales persons speciically called Educational Product Consultant (EPC).

Business Unit Educational Products recorded a Sales Revenue of IDR 157,07 Billions in 2015, a substantial increase of 33.48% as compared to IDR 117,67 Billions achievement in 2014. The increase was mainly resulted from the high increase of sales of Al Qolam products which was 49.87%;

Sales Revenue of ETL products also increased by 5.52% from IDR 38,62 Billions in the previous year to IDR 40,75 Billions

in 2015. The sales growth performance of ETL products in 2015 has resulted recognitions from ETL principal through the presentation of several awards as follows: Champion Asia Pasiic Cup, Champion Highest Growth, dan Champion Highest Sales dalam ETL Learning Annual Conference 2015 in Okinawa – Japan.

Al-Qolam products signiicantly increased in 2015, the Sales Revenue achievement was IDR 115,87 Billions, a substantial increase of 49.87% as compared to Rp 77,38 Billions in the previous year.

During 2014 EP has also launched new products, i.e.: New Haizh and Grand Maqamat from Al-Qolam, and English Time with Apps from ETL. Al-Qolam products has become the highest contributor to the Sales Revenue of EP business unit in the last couple of years.

Gross Proit of EP increased by 26.88%, this was in line with the increase of Sales Revenue of 33.48%. In contrary, the Operating Proit slightly decreased by (6.16)%, this was mainly caused by much higher portion of installment sales as compared to cash sales; the price diference between installment selling price and cash selling price is classiied as Financial Income rather than Sales Revenue in the Proit & Loss Statement of the Company, this was demonstratd in the much higher increase of EP’s Financial Income, from IDR 5,54 Billions in 2014 to IDR 9,69 Billions in 2015. Although Operating Proit of EP slightly decreased, Net Proit of EP Business Unit increased by 37,95%, from IDR 7,69 Billions in 2014 to IDR 10,61 Billions in 2015; this was attributable to the much higher increase of Financial Income resulted from high installment sales as explained above.

From the perspective of Maximization of Assets Utilizations, the total number of days of Merchandise Inventory level in 2015 as same as in 2015 which is 67 days, while total number of Trade Receivable almost the same as previous year from 139 days to 151 days in 2015.

Summary of inancial performance of Business Unit EP is shown in the following table:

Penjualan produk-produk Al-Qolam meningkat cukup tajam di tahun 2015 ini, yaitu dari Rp 77,38 Milyar di tahun 2014 menjadi Rp 115,97 Milyar atau kenaikan sebesar 49.87%.

Selama tahun 2015 EP telah meluncurkan produk baru: New Haizh dan Grand Maqamat dari Al-Qolam, serta English Time with Apps dari ETL. Produk-produk Al-Qolam telah menjadi kontributor terbesar terhadap Pendapatan Penjualan EP selama beberapa tahun belakangan ini.

Laba Kotor EP meningkat sebesar 26.88% seiring dengan peningkatan Pendapatan Penjualan yang sebesar 33.48%. Laba Usaha EP di tahun 2015 justru mengalami sedikit penurunan yaitu sebesar (6.16)%, hal ini terutama disebabkan oleh jauh lebih tingginya porsi penjualan angsuran dibandingkan dengan penjualan secara tunai; selisih harga penjualan angsuran dengan harga penjualan tunai diklasiikasikan sebagai Pendapatan Pembiayaan didalam penyajian Laporan Laba Rugi Perseroan, hal ini tercermin dari lebih tingginya kenaikan Pendapatan Pembiayaan Unit Usaha EP, yaitu dari Rp 5,54 Milyar di tahun 2014 menjadi Rp 9,69 Milyar di tahun 2015. Walaupun Laba Usaha EP sedikit menurun, Laba Bersih meningkat sebesar 37.95%, yaitu dari Rp 7,69 Milyar ditahun 2014 menjadi Rp 10,61Milyar tahun 2015; hal ini terutama terjadi karena besarnya peningkatan Pendapatan Pembiayaan dari penjualan angsuran seperti dijelaskan diatas.

Dalam hal maksimalisasi Asset Utilization, jumlah hari Persediaan Barang Dagangan 2015 sama dengan tahun sebelumnya yaitu 67 hari, sedangkan jumlah hari saldo Piutang Usaha hampir sama dengan tahun sebelumnya yaitu dari 139 hari menjadi 151 hari di tahun 2015.

Selama tahun 2015 Unit Usaha Educational Product telah berhasil melakukan eksekusi beberapa program, antara lain: 1. Program peningkatan jumlah Qualiied EPC (Educational

Product Consultant) melalui implementasi “2 days standard training”.

2. Launching 3 (tiga) produk baru, yaitu: New Haizh dan Grand Maqamat dari Al-Qolam, serta English Time with Apps dari ETL.

3. Bekerja sama dengan Bank Muamalat dan BCA melakukan implementasi virtual account di 7 (tujuh) cabang dalam rangka mengurangi jumlah Piutang Usaha yang overdue.
