His Excellency the Governor, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council and in pursuance of the provisions of the Brigalow and Other Lands Development Act 1962-1978 and the Land Act 1962- 1988, has been pleased to make the following regulations.

PART I-PRELIMINARY

1. Short title. These regulations may be cited as the Brigalow and Other Lands Development Regulations 1988.

2. Commencement. These regulations shall come into operation on 1 July, 1988.

3. Repeal. The Brigalow and Other Lands Development Regulations of1963 are repealed.

4. Arrangement of regulations. These regulations are arranged as follows:-

PART I-PRELIMINARY (regs. 1-4);

PART II-THE CORPORATION (regs. 5-7).

PART II-THE CORPORATION

5. Meetings. (1) Meetings of the Corporation shall be called by the Minister or the Chairman and at any such meeting two members of the Corporation shall form a quorum.

(2) The Minister or the Chairman may appoint a member of the Corporation to act as Chairman during any absence of the Chairman from a meeting of the Corporation, and the member so appointed shall exercise the powers and functions of the Chairman.

(3) The decision of the majority at a meeting of the Corporation shall be the decision of the Corporation.

6. Secretary. (1) The Secretary of the Land Administration Commission or the Officer for the time being performing the duties of the Secretary, shall be the Secretary of the Corporation and shall exercise and perform all such duties as the Corporation shall from time to time direct.

(2) A decision or document of the Corporation shall be sufficiently authenticated if signed by the Chairman or the Secretary.

(3) The Secretary shall ensure that proper and correct minutes are made of all matters transacted and ordered at any meeting of the Corporation.

7. Seal. (1) The official seal of the Corporation shall be kept under lock and key and shall not be affixed to any document unless a member of the Corporation and the Secretary are present.

(2) A document sealed pursuant to subregulation (1) shall be signed by the Chairman or a member of the Corporation, and the Secretary.
