E IT THEREFO E ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent
by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative C S U ~ C ~ ~ and Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows-

after the passing of this Act no marriage between any man and the sister of his deceased wife shall within Queensland be voidable or in any wise impeachable upon the ground only of such a f h i t y between the parties thereto any law usage or custom to the contrary notwithstanding
Provided that this Act shall not render valid any such marriage in any case where either of the parties to such marriage shall thereafter before the passing of this Act have lawfully intermarried with any other person nor shall the passing of this Act deprive or be held to have deprived any person of any property which such person may have lawfully inherited prior to the corning into operation of this Act or affect any lis puzdens.

itk. This Act shall be styled. and may be cited as “The Deceased Wife’s Sister Marriage Act of 1877. ”
