The Act provides for a Council of Advanced Education to provide co-ordinating functions for all Queensland colleges, but all responsibility for the internal governance of the Institute rests with the Q.l.T. The academic programs of the Institute can be classified as either Advanced Education Courses or Certificate Courses.

Accounts and budgets of the Board of Advanced Education, the Board of Teacher Education and the councils of Colleges of Advanced Education. 4f All funds shall be deposited in the general funds of the Board of Advanced Education, the Board of Teacher Education or a Council. In the case of the Board of Advanced Education or a Council, the costs of the audit will be borne by that Board or Council.

All fees received by a teacher education board or council under this Act shall be paid into the general fund and shall be used exclusively for the purposes of the board or council concerned. Subject to the articles of association and any direction of the council, each committee may regulate its own procedures. After each meeting, each committee shall submit to the Council a full report of the proceedings.

Under the direction of the director, the clerk will -. a) be responsible for the general administration of the Institute;

Timetables

A student can be declared excluded from taking the exam by the head of department responsible for education if he has not met all the conditions in the rules for the course he is registered for. The student must keep this form in his possession at all times during the trial period. The head of school can refer the application to the relevant examiner who, in consultation with the relevant examiner or examiners, must take into account the information contained herein, which is deemed appropriate when determining the result to be recommended to the candidate in the subject in question.

A candidate may not leave an examination room before the examination session without permission from a supervisor. The examiners provide this to the head of department or the chief examiner, if one has been appointed. The Head of Department or Chief Examiner will forward the results recommended by him, together with any comments on these results, by the examiner concerned for each candidate to the Academic Council responsible for the course.

The responsible head of department will send to the relevant Academic Council an overview of the final results of each candidate registered for that course who has nominated themselves for the examination.

Grading of Results

The Academic Council responsible for the course in which the student is enrolled must notify the Registrar of a final result no later than two weeks (or six weeks with the approval of the Academic Council) after the start of the following semester. After approval of the Academic Council governing the course or a Committee of the Council where the authority has been delegated in terms of Article 40, the results can be released by the Head of Department offering the subject. After certification of results provided for in Article 37, they shall be released by order of the Registrar.

Where the academic committee responsible for the course has established a policy relating to the assessment of examination results, it may delegate the power to exercise its powers in accordance with these rules to a committee of the committee. All such powers exercised on behalf of the Board shall be in accordance with the policy established by the Board and all decisions of the Board shall be reported at the next meeting of the Board. Non-registered students must apply for extended enrollment each year and their applications may be accepted or rejected by the Secretary upon the recommendation of the appropriate department head.

The provisions of rules 41 (a)(ii) and 41 (a) (iii) apply regardless of whether the student was registered in different courses in the most recent two semesters referred to in rule 41(a)(ii) or the most recent four semesters referred to in rule 41(a)(iii). i) where a student has failed the course twice in the same year, or. ii) in the cases where a student has been given special permission to repeat only some of the subjects of a particular year and he has failed in any of those subjects.

Penalties for Gross Failure

An Academic Board may appoint an Academic Board Committee to make recommendations to the Academic Board. An application for readmission after expulsion must be made in writing to the registrar no later than two months before the beginning of the semester for which readmission is sought. A student readmitted under these Rules may, at the discretion of the Academic Board, be required to re-register and be assessed in any course or courses the student may have taken prior to expulsion.

Under the general supervision of the director and the board of the institution, the chief librarian:-. The working hours of the library are prescribed by the head librarian in agreement with the director and posted at the entrance to the library. With the approval of the Head Librarian, full-time academic staff may borrow books necessary for course or course planning for one extended period only.

Any notices to be given to a person in terms of these Rules shall be deemed to be sufficiently given if sent to him or her by post at his or her address registered with the Library and shall be deemed to have been received by the person to whom it was addressed in the ordinary course of the post.

Schedule of Service Charges

The library shall be administered in accordance with these rules by the law school librarian under the direction of the head of the law school. The library shall be a reference library and, except in the case of material required for use in a law school assignment, or in all cases approved by the head of the Law Department, library material or equipment shall not be removed from the library. The hours in which the library must be open must be determined by the head of the Department of Law, subject to the director's approval, in consultation with the head librarian, and must be posted at the entrance to the library: Changes to the opening hours must be given in advance.

Articles left unattended in the Library for more than one hour may be removed by any member of staff on duty in the Library. 7) No one may mark, deface or otherwise damage or destroy any Library material, equipment, furniture or other property, or any part of the Library. In the event of a Law School Moot, authorized by the Head of the School of Law, the Law School Librarian or the Assistant Librarian may permit material to be removed from the Library for use in such Moot.

Appeals

-Full-time student' means a student, including a member of staff of the Institute, who is registered with the Institute as a full-time student or such other person or persons as the Council may from time to time designate. Union Fees means such fees as may be determined by the Council for membership of the Queensland Institute of Technology Union. A student who gives proper written notice to the registrar of withdrawal of his registration not later than six weeks after the first day of a term shall be entitled to a refund of Union fees paid.

A student must pay only one deposit regardless of the number of such subjects included in an enrolment. For violations of the parking of a vehicle, the director may revoke the permit for a specific period or for the remainder of the school year. For the violation of a person not in possession of a parking permit in the parking of a vehicle, the Director may cause the vehicle to be removed from the grounds of the Institute and the person shall pay the cost of such removal.

{b) All full-time or part-time members of the teaching staff (and those on an academic equivalent salary, including principal, deputy principal and heads of school) are issued a permit.

ADMISSION POLICY

Exclusion from a Tertiary Institution

For a registered Industrial Design graduate student, the courses and other parts of the six semesters of part-time study are as follows. For the registered graduate student of Quantitative Geodesy, the courses and other parts of the six semesters of part-time study are as follows.
