Diploma of Business Studies (Private Secretarial Practice.) NOTE: Applicants who have at least two years of relevant work experience are preferred. NOTE: Preference will be given to applicants who have at least two years of relevant work experience.

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION

Communication and learning — teacher credibility; the effects of communication relationships in an educational setting; the relationship between speaking styles and teaching procedures; appropriate use of industrial language. This field of general studies includes studies that will further the personal growth of individuals and enhance their understanding of aspects of the society and culture within which they will act as teachers.

AUSTRALIA AND THE WORLD CURRENT ISSUES

The Australian context and contemporary issues - historical, political, economic, social and cultural aspects of. Australian scene and their relevance to issues such as the trade union movement; the mineral resources debate; the changing role of the family; The media; consumerism and alternative lifestyles; radical technology; etc.

The main topics of the course will be reviewed in a general way through presentations by the lecturer during the first quarter. This will be followed by student presentations (individual or small group) on selected aspects of these core course topics during Terms Two and Three.

SOCIETY AND THE INDIVIDUAL THROUGH LITERATURE

Particular importance will be given to evidence of developing social awareness and improving students' critical and expressive skills. Assessment Assessment is based on participation in the course and satisfactory completion of prescribed tests and assignments.

UNDERSTANDING SCIENCE

Behavior • Class contact: the equivalent of one hour per week for three semesters, usually in the second year of the course. Assessment Assessment is based on course attendance and satisfactory completion of assigned projects and assignments.

LANGUAGE AND TECHNOLOGY

MATHEMATICS (MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE)

Generally, they are complementary to practical classroom experience, and usually students who take them must be simultaneously enrolled in teaching experience. A study of the problems students face in the transition from elementary school to mathematics in technical school and from technical school to technician mathematics.

Advisory teaching experiences (Subject 3) are required in the first year of the course, with provision for extension in the second year, when appropriate for the candidate's curriculum. Personality approaches to motivation and performance in learning situations: a study of the development, structure, and determinants of response tendencies.

In addition to such other forms of the course which may be pre xi, there may be a part-time tertiary tea course which is only available to candidates who have a substantial teaching position at the level of advanced education in a college of further education or a uni y. To be eligible for the Graduate Diploma, a candidate must. a) participate, to the satisfaction of the Faculty, in the classes and other activities prescribed for the course; And.

POST INITIAL COURSES

1.5 "Course" refers to a course approved by the Provisional Senate of the State College of Victoria for the Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Administration at the Hawthorn Institute of Education. However, the viability of offering parts of the course at venues in non-metropolitan areas of Victoria is currently being explored.

GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN GRAPHIC COMMUNICATION EDUCATION

In general, a participant's performance in each of the main components of the course is judged based on the tasks performed during the components. 1.5 "The course" refers to the course for the Graduate Diploma in Graphic Communication Education awarded on the basis of these regulations.

GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN EDUCATIONAL STUDIES (STUDENT CARE)

In general, the participant's performance in each of the two theoretical units of the course will be assessed on the basis of assignments. To qualify for a graduate degree, the candidate must (a) participate in classes to the satisfaction of the faculty.
