An Act to amend the South Australian Meat Corporation Act, 1936-1977.
[Assented to 17th April, 1980]
BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows:
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the "South Australian Meat Corporation Act Amendment Act, 1980".
(2) The South Australian Meat Corporation Act, 1936-1977, is hereinafter referred to as "the principal Act".
(3) The principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the "South Australian Meat Corporation Act, 1936-1980".
2. This Act shall come into operation on a day to be fixed by proclamation.
3. Section 2 of the principal Act is amended by striking out t4.,e item:- PART VII-Alteration of the Metropolitan Abattoirs Area: Sections
107-111.
4. Section 3 of the principal Act is amended- (a) by striking out from subsection (1) the
"carcass", "constituent councils",
"district", "inspector" and "meat";
definitions of "brand",
"disease", "diseased".
(b) by striking out from subsection (1) the definition of "metropolitan abattoirs area";
(c) by striking out from subsection (1) the definition of "municipality";
(d) by striking out from subsection (1) the definition of "Port Lincoln abattoirs area" ;
(e) by striking out from subsection (1) the definitions of "small goods"
and "stock";

(I) by striking out from subsection (1) the definition of "vehicle";
and
(g) by striking out subsection (2).

5. Sections 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the principal Act (including the heading ~~.oi and
before section 6 thereof) are repealed.

18. Section 97 of the principal Act is amended-
(a) by striking out the passage "within the metropolitan abattoirs area";
and
(b) by striking out the passage ", and, with the consent of the Governor, land".
19. Part VII of the principal Act is repealed.
20. Section IlIa of the principal Act is amended by striking out paragraphs (b) and (c).
11. Section 112 of the principal Act is amended-
(a) by striking out from paragraph (2) the word "inspectors";
(b) by striking out paragraph (3);
(c) by striking out paragraphs (5), (6), (7), (8) and (9);
and
(d) by striking out paragraphs (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (16), (17), (18), (19), (20), (21), (22) and (23).
11. Section 113 of the principal Act is amended by striking out from subsection (2) the passage "the approval of the Central Board of Health and".
13. Sections 115 and 116 of the principal Act are repealed .
14. Section 118 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the passage
"or any inspector in his own name" .
15. Section 119 of the principal Act is repealed .
16. Section 121 of the principal Act is amended by striking out the passage
", or of any inspector employed by the Corporation".
17. Section 123 of the principal Act is amended-
(a) by striking out from subsection (1) the passage ", or of any inspector or officer of the Corporation, or any member of the police force, or any special or district constable";
and
(b) by striking out subsections (2) and (3).
18. Section 125 of the principal Act is amended-
(a) by striking out the passage "or upon any constituent council,"';
and
(b) by striking out the passage "or council", twice occurring.

29. Section 128 of the principal Act is amended-
(a) by striking out the passage ", or by any constituent council,";
(b) by striking out the passage "or council,";
and
(c) by striking out the passage "in the one case, or by two councillors or the town clerk or district clerk in the other".
