An Act to empower the Treasurer to make an additional grant to the University of Adelaide for the upkeep of the Waite Agricultural Research Institute during the financial year, 1948-1949.

BE IT ENACTED by the Governor of the State of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Parliament thereof, as follows :

1. This Act may be cited as the "Waite Agricultural Short title.
Research Institute' Grant Act, 1948".
2 (• 1) The Treasurer may during the financial year , . 1948- Provision for grant.
1949, pay to the University of Adelaide out of the General Revenue of the State the sum of seven thousand pounds in addition to any other money payable to that University.
(2) This Aot without further appropriation shall be sufficient authority for making the said payment.
(3) The University shall apply the said sum towards meeting expenditure incurred by or in conneotion with the Waite Agricultural Research Institute.
3. Money paid to the University under this Act shall be ~::.tiOn8 of
deemed to have been paid on the conditions set out in section 26 of the University of Adelaide Act, 1935-1946.
