REPORT TITLE:
Ceramic Sculpture - Faux Park SUMMARY OF REPORT:
Council has received a request from the Tweed River Regional Art Gallery for permission to construct a community ceramic sculpture in Faux Park, Tweed Heads.
RECOMMENDATION:
That the Trust approves the locality of a proposed ceramic sculpture in Faux Park, Tweed Heads, subject to the following conditions:
1. The sculpture poses no liability issues for the Trust.
2. The sculpture poses low maintenance requirements for the Trust.
3. The final location of the sculpture in Faux Park is determined in consultation with Council staff.
4. The design concept be approved by the Trust prior to commencing works.
5. The lodgement of a Part 5 application and the receipt of relevant approval from
the Department of Land and Water Conservation.

REPORT:

As the proposal represents no cost to the Trust or Council and provides some community benefit, it is recommended the Trust approve the locality of the sculpture in Faux Park subject to the following conditions:
1. The sculpture poses no liability issues for the Trust.
2. The sculpture poses no maintenance issues for the Trust.
