Moderation meetings for Authority-registered subjects
Purpose
To inform schools about the schedule for the 2012 moderation meetings for Authority-registered subjects.
Background
To ensure consistency of teacher judgments in Authority-registered subjects, quality-assurance processes include study plan approval and moderation meetings for each study area specification, internal and external reviews.

Information
Moderation meetings for the following Group A subjects will occur in May/June 2012.
See attached schedule for dates.
• Agriculture and Horticulture (2004)
• Creative Arts (2004)
• English Communication (2004)
• Information and Communications Technology (2004)
• Prevocational Mathematics (2004)
• Recreation (2004)
• Religion and Ethics (2004).
Travel costs will be met by the QSA for one teacher of each Study Area Specification (SAS) to attend the relevant moderation meetings.
The QSA is not funded to provide TRS (Teacher Relief Scheme) for attendance at these meetings.

• Schedule of 2012 moderation meetings by district and SAS.
What you need to do
• Arrange for one teacher of each relevant subject SAS to attend the relevant moderation meeting as indicated on the attached schedule. This teacher should be the teacher of the Year 12 cohort.
