P–10 Australian Curriculum, Version 9.0
Purpose
To inform schools of the status of the P–10 Australian Curriculum, and advise that they should continue to use Version 8.4 of the P–10 Australian Curriculum in 2022.
Background
The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) has reviewed the P–10 Australian Curriculum to ensure it meets the needs of students and teachers, now and into the future.
On 1 April 2022, Commonwealth, State and Territory Education Ministers endorsed the revised version of the P–10 Australian Curriculum, Version 9.0.
Information
In 2021, the Minister for Education advised that Queensland schools should continue to use Version 8.4 of the P–10 Australian Curriculum in 2022. That advice remains current.
Decisions around the implementation of Version 9.0 of the P–10 Australian Curriculum will be made by the Queensland Minister for Education following consultation with Queensland stakeholders. Advice to schools will include information about Queensland’s approach to implementation.
To support schools, the QCAA will provide resources and professional learning aligned with the P–10 Australian Curriculum, Version 9.0. More information will be provided in the coming months.
