5.1 SPECIAL GRANTS APPLICATION - SPORT TASMAN TE TAU IHU TRAIL ADVENTURE

1 Summary

1.1 The attached report was presented to the Subcommittee at its last meeting. However, a decision on the report was deferred as the Subcommittee felt it did not have enough information to make a decision on this Special Grant application. Subcommittee members agreed to defer a decision on this matter until a future meeting at which time Sport Tasman CEO, Nigel Muir could be present to speak to the application and answer questions.

Members agreed that because a decision must be made before the end of the financial year that today’s extraordinary meeting would need to be called to consider this application.

2 Draft Resolution

That the Community Grants Subcommittee:

1. receives the Special Grants Application - Sport Tasman Te Tau Ihu Trail Adventure RCSGS19-06-4; and

2. approves the allocation of $30,000 to Sport Tasman for the Te Tau Ihu Trail Adventure in 2020, consisting of $25,000 from 2018/2019 budget and $5,000 from 2019/2020 budget.
