HEREAS by "The Billa of Sale and Otht?r Instruments ..4.ct of 1955'' it is enacted that that Act shall. come into operation on such date, not being earlier than . three months after the passing thereof, as the Governor in Council may fix by Proclamation published in the Gazette: Now, therefore, I, Sir JOHN DUDLEY LAVARACK, the Governor afore·

said, with the advice of the Executive Council, do, by this my Proclamation, fix Monday, the Third day of ·October, 1955, as the date on which "The Bills of Sale and Other Instruments ..4.ct of 1955'' shall come into operation.

Given under my Hand and Seal, at G~vernment House, Brisbane, this twenty-first day o_f July, in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifty-five, and in the fourth year of Her MajestY's reign.

IS ExcelleJJcy the Governor, with the advice of th&- Executive Council, has, in pursuance of the provisiou of "The Bills of Sale and Other Instruments .dot of 1955,"' been pleased to make the foJJowing Regulations.

W. POWER.

1. These Regulations may be cited as "The Bills of Sale·

and Other Instruments Regulations of 1955.''

2. The forms set out in Schedule A to these Regulations shall be used for the purpose of "The Bills of Sale and Other Instruments Act of 1955,'' for which they are respec- tively applicable: Provided that no form shall be deemed to be invalid if it is to the like effect of the proper fol"lll!

in the said Schedule set forth.

3. There shall be paid to the Registrar in respect of the several matters mentioned in ,Schedule B to these Regula- tions the several fees therC>in specified.

ENDORSEME!>r'l' OF INSTRUMENT.

4. The applicant for the registration of any instrument shall endorse on the instrument. the class of instrument lodged"

for registration.

5. Where the Register of instruments is not a bound book it may be a loose-leaf book or a card system.
