A candidate who interrupts the course without permission may be suspended from the course by the Professorial Board on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or the Board of Studies and the procedure set out in Regulation 2.5 will be applied as far as possible. Provided that such person has passed the third year of the course for this degree after 1966.

OF BACHELOR OF ARTS

A candidate who is attending or has pursued another degree at the University may also be admitted to the degree of Bachelor of Philosophy if he has completed at least six courses of art studies approved by the faculty for that purpose in addition to the courses required for such second degree. A person who has obtained a full-time degree may, with the consent of the faculty, be accepted as a candidate for an honors degree.

OF MASTER OF ARTS

Except with the approval of the board, no candidate taking the course for the degree in Social Studies may register for a subject or subjects in any other course. A candidate who has earned credit for any course in the Diploma of Criminology course prior to December 1, 1970, may complete the course under conditions determined by the board of studies in Criminology.

STUDENTS

The Stawell Scholarship will be awarded annually by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering. The scholarship will be in the value of the annual net income of the endowment.

SCHOLARSHIPS IN SURGERY AND IN PATHOLOGY

Dixson's research scholarship in engineering is awarded annually by the council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering. The size of the scholarships is paid out in installments determined by the Council.

BAIRD BURSARY

The John Melvin Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering. The Robert Bage Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually by the Council on the recommendation of the Faculty of Engineering.
