Capacity Building Workshop for Peace Café Members:
Achieving Gender Equality through Interfaith Advocacy
The Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ), Brac University, and the World Faiths Development Dialogue (WFDD) at Georgetown University are jointly inviting application to participate a fully funded Online Capacity Building Workshop for Peace Café Members: Achieving Gender Equality through Interfaith Advocacy. This workshop is being organised under the collaborative project titled Religious Dimensions of Development and Social Cohesion in Bangladesh.
The capacity building workshop will develop Peace Café members’ interfaith understandings of gender equality. It will equip them with the skills and competencies necessary for anchoring the wisdom of diverse faith traditions in advocacy efforts to advance gender equality within and beyond their communities. Key contents of the workshop are:
Live reality, gender and 3 dimension of power
Gender Equality - the concept of Mubaddallah
Gender Justice - diversity and differences
Gender equality and justice in practical live
• Token of appreciation for all participants
• Community engagement & experiential learning
• Training certificate upon successful accomplishment
• Membership of Bangladesh Peacebuilders’
Network
• Mentorship support under Peace Café
• National and international networking
About the Workshop
Workshop Dates: 25, 27, 29 October and 5 November 2021, Time: 6:30 pm -9:00 pm BD time
Who Can Apply?
Any currently enrolled university student (involved with the Peace Café Initiatives facilitated by CPJ, Brac University) interested to work for gender equality through interfaith advocacy. The applicant should be available for training period and have a compatible device (e.g.
smartphone, laptop, desktop) with an internet connection.
