I have written the report based on theoretical information and observations gathered during my three months internship program at Sonali Bank Limited at DEPZ Branch.
Student of BBA program, Daffodil International University. He completed the internship report under my supervision during my internship at Sonali Bank Limited. Worked for Sonali Bank Bangladesh Limited and completed a report titled “General Banking Activities of Sonali Bank Limited: Study in DEPZ Branch” as a practical requirement for BBA degree. The main objective of this report is to show the overall financial performance of Sonali Bank Limited.
Then in the second chapter there is the overview of the Sonali Bank Limited is presented. I completed my internship program at Sonali Bank Limited, DEPZ Branch and prepared this report titled “General Banking Activities of Sonali Bank Limited: A Study on DEPZ Branch”. This report deals with "General Banking Activities of Sonali Bank Limited" was started as a feature of the internship program which is a BBA program requirement of the Department of Business and Entrepreneurship, Daffodil International University.
Prior to preparing the report, a three-month internship was conducted at Sonali Bank Limited, DEPZ Branch.

Soon after the nation's freedom, Sonali Bank emerged as the largest and leading nationalized commercial bank with the promulgation of Bank Nationalization Order 1972 (Presidential Order-26) which replaced the then National Bank of Pakistan, Premier Bank and Bank of Bhwalpur. The bank was converted into a 100% government limited liability company and started operating as Sonali Bank Limited from 15 November 2007, taking control of all the benefits, liabilities and business of Sonali Bank. After corporatization, the bank's management got the expected self-sufficiency, so that the bank would be focused and successfully maintain its operations.
The authoritative framework works in an orderly manner and carefully maintains the chain of importance throughout, but the basic leadership time that the bank consumes is extremely difficult and tedious for maintaining order. There are about 11 General Manager's Office in Sonali Bank Limited including one at the head office. The key workplaces are responsible for all domestic areas of Sonali Bank Limited.
Then, the General Directorate at the Field Offices deals with the Division at the Head Office from which the tasks of the branches abroad are carried out. The bank is headed by the CEO and Managing Director, who is an eminent banker and a reputed expert. Magnificent performance and stability are prerequisites to guarantee quality support to the bank's large customer base.
New and creative items are the need of the ideal occasion for which constant activity is done. Each representative will have ownership mentality towards the bank and fearlessness in his work for the advancement of the bank. Sonali Bank Limited offers various organizations to achieve increasingly notable social goals and objectives. For this strategy, they intend to contribute to the attainable progress of the entire population, taking all things into account and expressly fulfilling the company's social duty. In order to strengthen its CSR operations, the bank has adopted new exercises in line with Bangladesh Bank in the areas of social organizations, women and poor empowerment, sports and culture, banking for handicapped associations, fiasco and mitigation.

Additionally, the holder cannot withdraw cash above 20000 taka at one time without the bank's consent. The customer deposits the money in the cash register and the bank customer relationship starts. This is a type of order where the bank gives orders to other branches to give the said money to the customer. Here the cash is received from the customer and payment is made to the customer. At the end of the payment and cash received is adjusted with the beginning balance and finally the ending balance it got.

Sonali Bank is the largest bank as well as the largest supervisor in general company and private territories in Bangladesh. The bank undertakes the important work of financial improvement by advancing modern departments by giving all the regular financial administrations only some special financial exercises for the economy. As an association, Sonali Bank has earned the notoriety of the best banks operating in Bangladesh.
So in the end it tends to be said that every association has its positive as well as negative results and if there should be an instance of Sonali Bank presence of the later one, it is not exactly the previous one and since the administration is determined to arriving at the choice of performance it seems that in the not too distant future the negative will be disposed of.
