Subject: Submission of internship report on “Recruitment and Selection Process of Advanced Chemical Industries (ACI) Limited”. With humble honor and respect, I submit my internship report on “Recruitment and Selection Process of Advanced Chemical Industries (ACI) Limited” As per partial fulfillment of the requirements for the BBA degree, this internship was conducted under supervision. As part of the report, with the help of my respective supervisor of internship program, I chose the topic "Recruitment and Selection Process in ACI Limited".

The recruitment and selection process is one of the most important yet critical tasks of an organization. The recruitment and selection process helps to get the right candidate by attracting him to the organization. With a proper recruitment and selection process, the organization can get a good employee, which increases the success rate and development of the organization.

The recruitment and selection process reduces training and development costs and helps increase organizational and individual efficiency. I have given a literature review of the report which includes recruitment and selection process, their importance and how this process can help in the development of the organization etc. The primary objective of this report is to describe the “Recruitment and Selection Process of ACI Limited” and differentiate between theoretical knowledge and practical application when attempting to complete an internship as a prerequisite for a BBA program.

ACI was established as a subsidiary of Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) in the then East Pakistan in 1968. After independence, the company was incorporated in Bangladesh on 24 January 1973 as ICI Bangladesh Manufacturers Limited and also as a limited company. The listing with the Chittagong Stock Exchange was completed on 22 October 1995. Advanced Chemical Industries (ACI) Limited, one of the major conglomerates in Bangladesh with a multinational heritage, operates across the country through its four extended strategic business units.

ACI Pharmaceuticals is dedicated to promoting the health of people of Bangladesh through an overview of innovative and reliable pharmaceutical products. ACI Consumer Brands is adding value to the regular life of consumers through its toiletries, home care, hygiene, electrical, electronics, mobile, salt, flour, food, largest integrator in Bangladesh in agriculture, livestock, fisheries, farm mechanization, infrastructure development services and Motorcycles. ACI retail chain is the largest retail chain in the country that operates through its 73 SHAWPNO stores across the country by changing the lives of more than 35,000 households every day.

The corporation donated Taka 3,625 million to the national exchequer in the form of corporate income tax, customs duty and value added tax in the financial year 2017-18. ACI's mission is to enrich people's quality of life through the responsible use of knowledge, skills and technology. ACI is committed to the pursuit of excellence through world-class products, innovative processes and skilled employees to provide our customers with the highest level of satisfaction.

Provide products and services of high and consistent quality, ensuring value for money to our customers. Achieve a high level of productivity in all our operations through effective utilization of time and adoption of appropriate technology. These values ​​are set at different levels of the organization and ACI employees and managers are asked to adhere to them.

The values ​​are openly stated on the walls of all the floors of ACI's offices. There are a number of brands such as ACI Pure Salt and Savlon that contribute significantly to the sales growth.

ACI provides an empowering working condition to unleash the representatives' maximum capacity and an execution-based calling movement. ACI has a respect-based culture where pride in the individual is the most astounding need.

In conclusion, HRM practice should be integrated into the overall strategy to ensure efficient use of people and provide better returns to the organization in terms of return on investment (ROI). Unless HRM practice is designed in this way, companies will lose if they fully utilize people, which does not bode well for organizational success. 34;I emphasize this - no matter how good or factual you are or how resourceful or cunning you are, your advertising and its future lies in the direction of the people you employ.

Without personnel there is no organization, so their development is one of the most important tasks of any association. Here the job seeker can send there cv and we distribute this cv to the employer. This interview is the essential interview where the recruiter really gauges whether the applicant can bring something to the company. Off-the-job training requires placing the right individual with the right technique for the right training.

It is the way they collect knowledge to be more correct and detailed when it comes to making results. At ACI, a woman must work for at least six months to be eligible for maternity leave.

Maternity leave is 4 months and is granted only once according to the will of the employee. Under these and additional labor laws, workers have the right to fair compensation, an equal opportunity for employment, and a safe work environment.

Employers are not required to hire someone they do not feel is qualified, and it is within the employer's rights to expect employees to show up on time and perform the duties for which they were hired. These laws ultimately protect the employer's productivity and thus profits, as well as the ability to remain competitive in the market. Labor laws preserve the right of the employer to make a profit and the right of the employee to compensation that can be spent and financed, labor laws are essential to a healthy economy.

Findings of Study

They don't have much room to properly coordinate the interviews; arrange seats to join a session etc. They recruit a huge amount of employees every month, which indicates whether the turnover rate is very high or ACI offers work, but they have no control over the continued turnover. For them, organizational development involves creating a strongly connected culture; maintaining discipline; continuously adapt to changes arising from both the internal and external environment;

ACI, which constantly focuses on corporate social responsibility and adapts to changes, will automatically lead to successful business. Developing a strong HR department for organizational development is thus becoming an important aspect for the company. In order to be fruitful, in particular, a tireless commitment and devotion from the association's human assets is required.

It has proved much more difficult to compete in the global and also the neighborhood in hostile conditions in the current times. Regularly changing operating conditions Creating designs in a dynamic circumstance requires fundamental examination of the circumstance and strict adherence to the center of the association. As ACI Ltd is a decentralized organisation, animation and center values ​​are valued by everyone within the association, making working in unique circumstances less demanding than it may seem.

In this report, I have tried my level best to identify the recruitment and selection procedure used by ACI Ltd. In this report I tried to apply my academic knowledge from all HRM courses to the real workplace. Finally, the company should focus more on quality rather than quantity in terms of recruitment and selection process.
