As per partial completion of the requirements for the BBA degree, I completed an internship at Daraz Bangladesh Ltd. As per partial completion of the requirements for the BBA degree, this report was carried out under your supervision. This report is an integral part of our academic courses towards the completion of the BBA program which gave me the opportunity to have an insight into the marketing sector.

While completing the report, I have tried my best to combine all my knowledge and provide all available details and also tried to avoid making the report unnecessarily long. It may not be used in the interest of the counterparty of the company. In chapter 01, I have given a brief introduction of the company where you can find the company's organizational chart, mission and vision, etc.

After that I gave results and discussion in chapter 05, where the motive of the report is found. After that, I gave some recommendations that may be useful for the company in the future in Chapter 07. According to Rowly (1998), promotion is used by organizations to communicate with customers regarding their product offerings and also to ensure that customers are aware of the products available. Grankvist, Kollberg& Person (2004) state that with the growing importance of the financial sector, the pressure for more effective marketing management of the financial services escalates. Median (1996) argues that despite the recent recession, the financial sector continues to grow in terms of revenue and profits and thus has a sovereign impact on the other spare parts of the economy.

The role of promotion has been redefined by Dawes & Brown (2000) as managing long-term relationships with carefully selected customers, including building a learning relationship where the marketer maintains a dialogue with an individual customer. This makes staff one of the most important resources of a bank. Their competence will determine the quality of the bank and how well it functions (Marquardt, 1994).

Shahid, Banerjee & Mamun (2004) state that the economy of Bangladesh has grown gradually and as such needs the support of a financial structure responsive to the needs of development. In the process of the development of Bangladesh, banks will have to take on more responsibility than before to meet the financial needs of customers in various sectors of the economy. In this aspect, the need for the promotion of financial products in the banking industry in Bangladesh has become a new problem in this country.

Daraz's initial funding came from Rocket Internet and focused on the fashion sector, but changed to a general e-commerce marketplace in 2015. Daraz Group was established in 2015 as the parent company of Daraz's operations in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar. In September 2015, Daraz secured €50 million in its Series B funding to support the expansion of operations across its markets.

CDC Group, a state-owned Development Finance Institution (DFI) in the UK, invested €20 million alongside a €30 million investment from Daraz's existing majority shareholder, Asia Internet Holdings. In May 2018, Daraz announced that it had been acquired as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alibaba Group for an undisclosed sum, as part of Alibaba's expansion into South Asia. Following the acquisition, Daraz Express (DEX), Daraz's in-house digitized logistics arm was launched in September 2018 to support its growth in key markets.

It focuses on developing and supporting businesses in Africa and South Asia – as well as the Asia-Pacific Internet Group (APACIG). It operates in five countries in Asia such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Myanmar. Daraz Bangladesh Ltd. hosts a wide range of consumer electronics, fashion and beauty products.

In a very short period like 3 months, it is very difficult to find out any problems in Daraz Bangladesh Ltd. They have to give regular advertisements in the dailies of the country. These are some of the recommendations I have found so far for Daraz Bangladesh Ltd.
