ABSTRACT
The women's involve in economic activities is not a weard thing to hear
anymore, especially for them who come from a family which has a low economic
level. The oldest women's activities is in agriculture. But the increasing in technology
makes people start to ignore the agriculture matters. This makes a lot ofwomen lose
the chance in working and try to work in another sector such as industry.
It
is difficult
for women to work in a sector like that because it needs more skills and abilities that
women don't have because of their low level of education. This could be happen
because a lot of women weren't used to get a formal education like most men were.
But time went by. Now, we can find many women wokers who have skills and
abilities to work like men have. Although the women wokers are usually called as
secondary wokers but it can't be denied that women who works are often very helpful
to support their family even they haven't married yet.
The aim of this research is to study about the supply of women wokers in
labor market by and the relationship between social economic and demographic
variables of women wokers and their working hours.
Some of the empirical results are
(l)
that there is a difference in working
hours between married women wokers and single women wokers.
We can find other differences by knowing either their level of education or their work
motivation. (2) Their supply of labor is significantly influenced
by
level of education,
number of children, marital status and work motivation.
