Pengaruh Penggunaan Twitter Terhadap Pembentukan Citra Perusahaan
Merpati Nusantara Pada Followers

Di era globalisasi saat ini aktivitas dengan menggunakan layanan jejaring sosial menjadi sebuah keharusan untuk menjawab kebutuhan dalam pergaulan global. Penggunaan media sosial dilatarbelakangi oleh beragam tujuan seperti sarana komunikasi, sarana mencari informasi, media promosi dan lainnya. Twitter adalah salah satu media sosial yang banyak digunakan orang saat ini. Fungsi awalnya merupakan sarana komunikasi, namun seiring perkembangan zaman kini twitter dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembentukan citra oleh banyak perusahaan yang salah satu nya adalah perusahaan Merpati Nusantara Airlines.
Berdasarkan dari latar belakang tersebut, maka diperoleh rumusan masalah penelitian yaitu “Seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan twitter terhadap pembentukan citra perusahaan Merpati Nusantara pada followers”. Tujuan dari penelitian berdasarkan pada rumusan masalah tersebut yaitu untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh penggunaan twitter terhadap pembentukan citra perusahaan Merpati Nusantara pada followers. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori
uses and efect dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif.
Teknik analisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Penggunaan twitter memiliki hubungan sebesar 46% dengan pembentukan citra perusahaan 2) Penggunaan twitter berpegaruh sebesar 21,4% terhadap pembentukan citra perusahaan Merpati Nusantara pada followers.
