High economic growth is all govermenr target. All government want
to
reach this goal because economic growth can
descripe
the society condition and
can show us about welfare index in
a contry
or region.
There
are
some main factor that influence economic growth,
This

analysis used some factor like export, PMDN,
PMA
and population society.
Beside the analysis in descriptive way, this scripsi also used a aanalysis in
regression way by using a computer progamme called SPSS 11,0.
From the analysis that we do to prove the hypotesis, we know that North
Sumateras economic growth since 1978 untul 2002 have a cheer up growth. This
economic growth have a nice increasing in almost this last 25 years

is dominated by services sector as a
leading sector. This condition make North
Sumatera' economic structure become
a tertier structure. And this result maake North Surnatera is not a region that have
a primary structure anymore
