ABSTRACT

Affective aspects in learning is one of important aspect that is felt by everyone, but the

implementation in the education (learning) is still lacking. Another problem is not many learning activities can make affective aspects are achieved. The Ability of affective aspects may take the form of responsibility, cooperation, discipline, commitment, confidence, honesty, tolerance, and persistence are still perceived lack of class VIII B Junior High School Muhammadiyah 1

Malang.

Strategy Based Student's Request is applied to know how the strategy can determine the affective aspects and student results, especially in the biology studies. Students can choose their own teaching methods that they want from several alternative methods of learning that is provided by teachers, so students can have an interest in learning and a good attitude in learning too. In analyzing the research, the writer used Class Action Research (CAR). The research carried out on October 19th 2009 until November 10th 2009. And the data collected by observation, through the provision of questionnaire to students and through examinations.

The finding of this research showed that affective aspects of students is good, they were cooperation, honesty, responsibility, tolerance, independence, and perseverance. Then the

activity of student becomes better in cycle II. While, the responses of students about the Strategy

Based Student’s Request are very excited during the process of learning, students declare that the

method that has been applied is new for them, and students interested for attending the next learning by using teaching models that have been applied. And then, studying classical
