CONCLUSI ON
1. The streak mosaic
Sugarcane Streak Mosaic Virus.
Partially
alignment of CP gene show ed that SCSMV- I dn isolate had 98%
homology w ith SCSMV- Pkstn isolate.
2. SCSMV- I dn transmitted mechanically, and sett- borne but not
successfully transmitted by maize aphid
R. maydis
and mealybug
C.

.
3. Cutting knife and sett- borne may play role in the spread of SCSMV
in the field.
4. Sorghum, maize and w eed
D. aegypticum

5. All clones can be infected by SCSMV- I dn w ith three different symptom
such clearly, moderate and mild streak. I t depend on the type of clones
6. PSCO 90- 2411 w as resistant, PS 851, PS862, PS 951, BL w as moderate,
