Key words : Speech acts, illocutionary acts and classification of function speech acts
Speech acts is actions performed via utterances. In English commonly given more specific labels, such as apology, complaint, compliment, invitation, promise or request. Most of people or students who are listeners generally do not know that they use acts in their communication and expression of their sentences used speech acts. Because of the reality, the writer want to analyze about Speech Acts in the Movie Script of Confession of a Shopaholic by P.J Hogan.
The purposes of the study are to find out the illocutionary acts and to find out the classification of function of speech acts in the movie entitled confession of a shopaholic by P.J Hogan.
This research used descriptive qualitative research, the writer describes the utterances that belongs to illocutionary acts and the classification function of speech acts, data in this research is taken from the utterances in the movie of Confession of a Shopaholic by PJ. Hogan that produced by three characters they are Ishla fisher (Rebecca Blamwood), Hugh Dancy (Luke Brandon) and Krysten Ritter (Suze).
The result of the study the writer found 11 kinds of illocutionary acts in the movie entitled of confession of a shopaholic. Those are asserting, requesting, ordering, thanking, apologizing, command, giving complement, stating, asking, promising and suggesting. From the classification function of speech acts the writer found, declaratives (0); representatives (6); directives (16); expressive (22) and commisive (1). Based on the data result the writer concludes, the dominant function of speech acts in this movie is directive.
According to the study, the writer suggests that this research can be used as material in studying speaker’s meaning especially understanding speech acts in pragmatics.

Kata kunci : tindak tutur, tindak illokusi dan klasifikasi fungsi tindak tutur.
Tindak tutur adalah tindakan dilakukan melalui ucapan. Dalam bahasa Inggris umumnya diberikan label yang lebih spesifik, seperti permintaan maaf, keluhan, pujian, janji, undangan, atau permintaan. Kebanyakan orang atau pembelajar tidak mengetahui bahwa dalam berkomunikasi mereka menggunakan tindakan. Berdasarkan kenyataan tersebut maka penulis ingin menganalisis tentang tindak tutur dalam skrip film yang berjudul Confession of a Shopaholic oleh PJ Hogan.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis tindakan illocutionary dan klasifikasi fungsi dari pidato bertindak dalam film yang berjudul confession of a shopaholic oleh PJ Hogan.
Penulis menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dimana dalam penelitian ini penulis mendiskripsikan ucapan-ucapan yang mengandung tindak illokusi dan fungsi dari tindak tutur, Data dari penelitian ini adalah ucapan-ucapan didalam skrip film confession of a shopaholic oleh P.J. Hogan yang dihasilkan oleh tiga tokoh utama yaitu Ishla fisher (Rebecca Blamwood), Hugh Dancy (Luke Brandon) dan Krysten Ritter (Suze).
Hasil penelitian penulis menemukan 11 macam tindak illokusi dalam film confession of a shopaholic yaitu asserting, requesting, ordering, thanking, apologizing, command, giving complement, stating, asking, promising and suggesting. Dari klasifikasi fungsi tindak tutur penulis menemukan, declaratives (0); representatives (6); directive (16); expressive (22) dan commisive (1). Berdasarkan data hasil penulis menyimpulkan dalam film Confession of a Shopaholic fungsi tindak tutur yang mendominasi adalah directive.
Menurut hasil penelitian, penulis menyarankan penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan dalam mempelajari makna pembicara terutama pemahaman tindak tutur dalam ilmu pragmatik.
