This Seminar and Workshop event aims at obtaining the largest gathering of stakeholders in mining, mineral, metal processing and coal industries to discuss prospects and constraints of the implementation of added-value on mining products in Indonesia according to the New Mineral and Coal Mining Law No. 4, 2009 (New Mining Law). This gathering will involve several central government departments, provincial and regional governments, technology providers of mining, mineral, metal processing such as Copper, Nickel, Iron, etc. as well as coal processing, scientists and researchers, to develop a comprehensive understanding of the implementation of added-value and identify the barriers faced by the industries in Indonesia.
Basically, strategic and technical aspects in regard to the improvement of added-value of mining products will be discussed. This event will propose specific activities that will help companies in reducing and overcoming the barriers, taking advantage of the emerging opportunities in the implementation of added-value policy in the New Mining Law. At the end of this seminar, a working group will be established by PERHAPI to follow up on the outputs and further elaborate the efforts and agenda that should be worked out for the implementation of added-value improvement. The working group aims to give inputs to the government in formulating the Government Regulation's draft for the implementation of the New Mining Law.
The Seminar and Workshop should be attended by participants from institutions related to mining, mineral, metal processing and coal industries such as:
CeO, CFO, COO, management and staff of mining and metallurgical processes companies as well as mining, mineral, and coal companies.
Government officials responsible in supervision and monitoring of mining and processing activities from central, provincial and regional governments.
Consultants, Researchers who have been working in research and development of added-value on mining products.
Participants from other institutions such as investment, trade, finance, environmental, forestry, etc.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
