Businness Opportunity Analysis
Trend in number of construction companies and employee has been positive during 2001-2005. Average growth of number of construction companies is 3.1% per year, while average growth in number of permanent employee is only 2.6% per year. This construction sector gives value added of Rp. 20,017,768 million per year in average and this figure grows each year. About 50% of these comes in non residential buildings, streets and bridges. Provincial based, Jakarta contributes the largest construction value and it can easily be noticed that development is not spread evenly since most of construction project takes place in Java island.
Indonesia is a developing country, therefore, construction sector has big potential here. This can be clearly seen from increasing number of established construction and value added that is obtained by subtracting gross output with intermediate output.
