ABSTRACT
This study aims to: (1). Analyzing of random walks theoretically for a short step (N ≤ 10), (2). Make model of one dimensional (ID) random walks using Monte Carlo method.
This study begins with the analysis of random walks for a short step to the number of steps is less than or equal to 10 (N ≤10). Next, make a flowchart for the process of random walks program, it to specify for the input and output will be used. And then, the program of random walks is made by determine of the limits from random values will be use and how many random values will be generate. After the program random walks is ready to run, so, the data of random walks that has been generated, it is copied in the Microsoft Excel for the next is made the random walks graph that is relation between distance and time. The graph then analyzed theoretically.
The results showed: (1). The theoretical study of random walks with short step or a small number (N ≤ 10) has a value of end position is different for each variation n1 to the right and n2to the left, (2). The simulation program of random walks with a random number generator functions in the programming language C++ has been produced in this research is to study the motion of random walks for long or longer (N > 10).
