In this volume of BioSystems you will not find regular articles or papers from a meeting, as you usually do when opening the cover of a new issue. As 1999 marks the publication of Volume 50 of the Journal, we thought it to be appropriate to publish a cumulative index of the past 25 volumes of the journal in this subscription year. This vol-ume gives an overview of volvol-umes 26 – 50, cover-ing 8 years, with cumulative indexes both for the authors and subject matter. In the author index, all authors of the published articles are listed. The entries for the senior authors give the full title of
the paper and the bibliographic reference. For non-senior authors, a reference is given to the senior author of the paper. The cumulative sub-ject index is generated from the EMBASE data-base, in which controlled key words are given to each article entered. This guarantees for high quality indexing and easy reference to all articles.
We hope that these indexes will be of use to you.
