Sago waste is one of biomass lignocellulose that potential to produce
bioethanol.Lignocellulosematerialconsistofthreemajorcomponentsuchas
cellulose,hemicelluloseandlignin.Theavailableofligninbecomeinhibitorfor
enzymaticprocessitmustremovedbypretreatment.Researchforbioethanol
productionfromsagowastethroughpretreatmentprocessbyusingavariation
ofalkalinesolution;1%NaOH,8%NH4OH,1%NaOH+4%NH4OHand1%
NaOH+8%NH4OH witharatiosolidtoliquid1:10(w/v)afterthat,followedby
SSFmethodinvolvedtwokindoffungilike Trichoderma viride strainT1skfor
saccharificationand Saccharomyces cerevisiae forfermentationprocess.The
optimumconditionsforthereductionofsamplesobtainedafterpretreatmentat
concentrationof1%NaOH+8%NH4OHat49,3017%withalongincubation
period of 3 days with a temperature 500C. Result of determination cellulase
enzymeactivity from Trichoderma viride strainT1skby0.1%CMCis0,1144
unitandthehighestglucoseyieldis921,25µg/mLfrom0,9gramssubstrateof sagowastewhiletheoptimumtimeforthesaccharificationprocessobtainedin
75minutes.EthanolcontentwasanalyzedbyGC/MSresulted12.99%(%area)
orequalwith0,38mLethanolyieldfor168hoursoffermentation.
