ABSTRACT
Caring is the essential part encompassing focus and central of the nursing. The tendency of lacking in caring behaviour among nurses emerged this percevied by patient hospitalized in healht care institution. Therefore, this research aimed identify to perceptions of chronic patients toward nurses caring behavior in RSUD Al-Ihsan, West Java. Type of research used by the researcher was descriptive quantitative. Drawing samples used accidental sampling technique by the 33 patients. Technique data collecting used likert scale 1-5 questionnaires. The percentage result of perception analysis taken from the patients showed that 51,5% positive and 48,5% negative. While the positive perception to the nurses caring behavior components: accesible : positive 54,5% and 45,5% negative, explain and facility : positive 54,5% and 45,5% negative, comfort : positive 51,5% and 45,5% negative , anticipative : positive 66,7% (the highest aspect) and 33,3% negative, trusting relationship positive 57,6% and negative 42,4%, monitoring and follow positive 39,4% (the lowest aspect) and 60,6% negative. To improve caring behavior among nurses, in house training is essential to be done.
