Tahunan PAI 2016
TANTANGAN PROFESIONALISME
Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (MEA) telah dimulai tahun ini. Se ap bidang profesi sangat membutuhkan sumber
daya manusia (SDM) yang handal dan profesional, dak terkecuali bidang Aktuaria. Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia
sebagai wadah organisasi profesi bidang aktuaria harus lebih cepat menyiapkan diri. Dukungan Otoritas Jasa
Keuangan (OJK) kepada profesi Aktuaris sudah nyata dan program 1000 Aktuaris akan menjadi inspirasi organisasi
untuk cepat berkembang. Kementrian keuangan akan segera terbit Peraturan Menteri Keuangan (PMK) tentang
Profesi Aktuaris, hal ini menunjukan profesi Aktuaris semakin nyata diakui pemerintah sebagai profesi yang
pen ng di sektor jasa keuangan.
Perkembangan bidang Aktuaria saat ini bukan saja di Industri Asuransi jiwa, manfaat karyawan dan dana
pensiun tetapi sudah mulai berkiprah di Industri Asuransi Umum dan Jaminan Sosial. Perkembangan ini
merupakan tantangan besar Aktuaris untuk dapat menguasai bidang baru ini. Oleh karena itu kami di bidang
pengembangan profesionalisme mengadakan konferensi tahunan PAI 2016 dengan topik TANTANGAN
PROFESIONALISME.
Konferensi ini menjadi wadah anggota untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan global dibidang
aktuaria dan bidang ilmu terkait lainnya. Kami mengajak segenap insan aktuaria di Indonesia untuk menghadiri
konferensi tahunan PAI yang akan diselengarakan pada tanggal 19 dan 20 Oktober 2016 di Jakarta. Semangat terus
membangun SDM dak boleh berhen , mari bersama sama mengembangkan diri untuk kemajuan bangsa.

Rob joined Willis Towers Watson (WTW) in April 2013 and prior to joining WTW
worked for two primary global insurance companies in a number of senior
actuarial roles in London and Italy.
He brings almost 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and he has
provided support and consultancy services to insurance companies in around 25
countries worldwide.
He has performed a wide range of actuarial services from reserving and pricing to
capital op misa on and Enterprise Risk Management. Rob’s key area of specialism
is on ratemaking, por olio management, product design and Usage Based
Insurance.
Rob is Fellow member of the Ins tute of Actuaries in the UK, Singapore Actuarial
Society, Actuarial Society of Malaysia, Actuarial Society of Thailand and Actuarial
Society of Hong Kong and he holds a Master in Insurance and Risk Management.
Roberto Malattia
David Wright is the Head of Life Product Development for Southeast Asia, South Asia
and GCC having joined the Singapore team from Munich Re Australia in September
2013. David is responsible for new product development throughout the region and
the Best Doctors Services proposi on that has now been launched in 6 markets
during the past 12 months.
Before joining the Singapore team, David was a Business Consultant in the Client
Solu ons team specializing in product development before working in Research and
Development area where he was the Senior Research Proposi on Specialist,
responsible for the development of new products and client proposi ons.
David is a Life Risk management specialist with 25 years experience in the life
insurance industry. This includes various execu ve direct office roles including Head
of Product Development and Reinsurance Strategy across a mul -distribu on
insurer, claims, underwri ng and opera ons management. David has been involved
in a number of global Industry related ini a ves including Australia’s Financial
Services Council’s Protec on Gap and legisla ve reviews of the Insurance Contract
Act and An -Discrimina on Act in different markets.
Iwan Juwono
Iwan is a Consul ng Actuary based in Milliman'sSouth East Asia prac ce. He supports insurance and ERM projects in South East Asia. He joined the firm in 2015
Prior to Milliman, Iwan was a management consultant & actuary in KPMG London for 4 years,
where he specialised in financial & stochas c modelling, M&A, and insurance business strategy. Previous assignments include:
Ÿ Business planning for a new Indonesian insurance start-up; Ÿ Restructuring of an Indonesian life insurance company; Ÿ Reviews of various Indonesian Laporan Aktuaris; Ÿ Profitability benchmarking of Indonesian products;
Ÿ A Solvency II modelling engagement for one of the UK's leading life insurers;
Ÿ Strategic review of the implica ons of 2013 UK Pensions Reform for a large UK Life insurer;
Ÿ Es ma ng opera onal synergies for a poten al merger between two UK closed book life insurers; Ÿ Interim Risk & Controls manager for a mid-sized UK life insurer;
Ÿ Capital modelling & investment analysis of alterna ve assets including equity release, social
housing, residen al/commercial mortgages & infrastructure loans;
Ÿ Valua on of guarantees associated with variable annuity contracts for a large US insurer; Ÿ Modelling of opera onal risk for a mid-sized UK insurer;
Ÿ Modelling of longevity swaps for a mid-sized UK insurer
Iwan is a co-author of Milliman's annual Asia Embedded Value report, and is also a regular speaker at insurance conferences in South East Asia. He most recently spoke at the Asia Life Summit, Singapore ERM Conference, Singapore Life Conference, the Pruden al ERM conference. In addi on to his insurance experience, Iwan was previously a project finance consultant and quant at Mercer Australia. His main clients were Macquarie Bank, Babcock & Brown, JP Morgan, ABN AMRO and RBS.
Pang-Hsiang Chye
CURRENT RESPONSIBILITY
Pang is a principal and actuary with Milliman's Hong Kong office. He joined the firm in 2002, a er spending more than two and a half years with Milliman in New York and six years with an actuarial and management consultancy in Southeast Asia.
EXPERIENCE
Pang specializes in property and casualty insurance and healthcare insurance.
He has consulted to more than 80 property and casualty insurance and reinsurance companies in Greater China and Southeast Asia on issues pertaining to:
